Timeka LoLanda Flood

- May 27, 2022

Timeka LoLonda Flood, 48, departed this life on Friday, May 27th, 2022, at Select Specialty Hospital in Bristol, Tennessee, after battling a short-term illness. She was born in Martinsville, Virginia and was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Needly Wilson, as well as Melvin Jamison, a special uncle who helped raise her.

She was a 1994 graduate of Laurel Park High School and later worked at Marc Workshop and Horizon. For many years, she was a member of Shiloh Way of the Cross Church under the leadership of Bishop Early Dillard. At Shiloh, she devoted her time to singing in the radio choir and attending Sunday services. Later she became a member of Rebirth Ministries under Pastor Justin Scotty Lucas.

Timeka could be described as an honest friend or someone who always “kept it real”, as she would say. Not only was she a honest friend, but she was also very loving towards her family, friends, church family and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Aside from spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed drawing, watching soap operas and scary movies with her sister.

Timeka leaves a memory not only in the heart of her friends, but also to her aunt Bernice Jamison who was also very involved in raising her; three sisters, Sheila Harris and Alicia “Lisa” Williams, both from Martinsville, Virginia and Lavidia Flood from Bedford, Virginia; brother, John Wilson, Jr. of Martinsville, Virginia; and a bonus brother, Timothy Foster of San Francisco, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

On behalf of the Harris and Williams family, Timeka’s sister Alicia “Lisa” Williams will receive family and friends at her home on Wednesday and Thursday from 4-8:00 PM at 1300 Spruce Street, Apartment 7, Martinsville, Virginia.

A graveside funeral will be held Saturday, June 4th, 2022, at 11:00 A. M. at Rock Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 148 Stockton Road, Martinsville, Virginia. Wright Funeral Service will lovingly welcome friends and family for viewing on Wednesday, June 1st through Friday, June 3rd.
