Edith Marie Reynolds Massie

Edith Marie Reynolds Massie, 92, of Collinsville, VA transitioned on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at her home. She was born in Henry County on April 30, 1930 a daughter of the late Walter and Louise Mitchell Reynolds. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Massie, I.
She was retired from the Henry County Public School System and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder, Choir, and the Women's Association. She was also a member of VEA and NEA and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
She is survived by one daughter, Terri Massie of Collinsville, VA; one son, Walter Massie, II of Charlotte, NC and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Naomi Hodge-Muse, officiating and Rev. Kelvin Perry, presiding. Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home at 85 Sunnyside Lane #1 Collinsville, VA at other times.
The Omega Omega service will be held at 11:00 in the chapel of Hines Funeral Services, Inc.
