Gregory Dwayne Pilson

October 24, 1957 - June 5, 2022

Greg was born to the late Lennis Coy Pilson Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Pilson on October 24, 1957. As a child Greg loved playing with his cousins and friends. He loved sports. During his time at Fieldale-Collinsville High School he played basketball, baseball and football. His passion was football and played all four years of high school. Upon graduation he married Kay Holt and their union produced Tiffany Pilson. He then enlisted and served five years in the United States Navy. Over the course of his life he held many jobs to include bartender, telemarketer, and pump house operator. Greg spent many years in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA. Upon returning to Fieldale, VA he coached youth football and developed a passion for golf. He organized several golf tournaments.He enjoyed serving customers and friends at various establishments. He spent many nights at Yamatos making people smile. He also shared his love of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of North Carolina basketball with anyone that would listen. 
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany(Willie Lee) Moore, of Chase City, VA. His granddaughter Trinity Pamplin, of Chase City, VA. His mother Mary E. Pilson of Fieldale, VA, his brother Rudy Pilson of Fieldale, VA, his brother Coy(Donna) Pilson of Panama City, FL, a sister Benita Martin, of Martinsville, VA and two nieces and a nephew, and a host of cousins.
