Richard Lee "Ricky" McKnight

Richard Lee "Ricky" McKnight, 54, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 29, 2019. He was preceded by his grandmother, Mary Greenway Pruitt Dean.

Ricky was a member of Harvest Ministries. He was employed by Lutheran Family Services and had previously worked for Virginia Medical Transportation.

Surviving are his mother, Iris Clark; brothers, Joe (Rena) Whorley, Mike (Kathy) McKnight, David McKnight and Tony McKnight; sister, Linda K. Britt; numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Nickie Wright; and special friends, Chad Cochran, Justin Lyons, Rob Perry, and Tyler Bishop.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Bishop Milton Atkins. The family will receive friends one hour prior the the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. 540-366-0707
