Genevieve Mullins Parker

Genevieve Mullins Parker, age 90 of Henry died Wednesday, August 3, 2022. She was born February 3, 1932 a daughter of the late George and Geneva Mullins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Daniel Parker; an infant daughter, Amy Lynette Parker; son, Jerry Daniel Parker; brother, Gary Kenneth Mullins; and sister, Mary Frances Prillaman. Surviving are her children, Martha Parker Puckett (Patrick), Mark Alan Parker (Tammy); daughter-in-law, Deborah C. Parker; grandchildren, Jennifer Parker Smith (Kevin), Daniel C. Parker, Jeffrey A. Parker (Ashley), John Patrick Puckett, Sara Parker Puckett (Rishabh), Amy Parker Hall (Josh), Morgan Parker Thomas (Jared); great-grandchildren, Madison Parker, Sophia Parker, Silas Parker, Addyson Haddock, Noah Thomas, Conrad and Keaton Hall; sister-in-law, Margarette Parker Blankenship; brother-in-law, Gene A. Parker; and special niece, Linda Barbour. Mrs. Parker retired from the United States Postal Service with many years of service. Funeral services will be conducted from Henry Baptist Church 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Doug Ramsey and Rev. Jon Haskew officiating. Interment will follow in the Parker Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ferrum Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 160, Ferrum, Virginia 24088 or Henry Baptist Church, 251 Henry Church Road, Henry, Virginia 24102. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family also requests that those in attendance to please wear a mask and respectfully request no food at the home.
