Marie Earnestine Yopp

Marie Earnestine Yopp, age 80 of Callaway, VA and formerly of Bent Mountain was reunited with her husband, James H. Yopp on Friday, August 12, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Odessa Ferris; brothers, Buddy, James (Pete), and Howard Ferris; sister, Frances Waller; and grandson, Douglas J. Hall. She will be forever loved and missed by her children, Linda and Doug Hall, Carolyn and Stoney McPherson, and Lee and Loretta Yopp, all of Callaway, VA. She was "Nana" and "Granny" to Jessi (Brandon) Alley, Morgan (Adam) Dowdy, Kelsey (Zach) Chance, Andrea Hall, Katelyn Yopp, Victoria Yopp, and Christian Yopp; seven great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Dorothy Ferris; brother-in-law, Ira Waller; numerous nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; special life-long friends, Joe and Mary Beckner. Funeral services will be conducted at Highland United Methodist Church, 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2022 with Pastor Robert Meredith officiating. Interment will follow at the Yopp Family Cemetery (1215 Dugspur Road, Callaway, VA 24067). Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
