Paul Ashley, Sr.

Paul Ashley, Sr., 74, of North Lawrence, Ohio, passed away November 13, 2022. He was born on October 15, 1948, to the late Presley and the late Christine Mize Ashley. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby (Craig) Ashley; brother, Hubert Ashley; sister, Mary Wright, and son, Robert Ashley.

Paul worked as a laborer for Babcock & Wilcox, and as a mechanic for Grass Master. He loved to fish and spent his free time attending car shows and working on old cars.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Laurie Allison, Cindy (Dwayne) Powell, Tina (Clint) Foresha; his son, Paul (Kathlene) Ashley, Jr.; brothers, Wayne (Ada) Ashley, Norman (Lola) Ashley, Curtis (Rita) Ashley, Herman (Davanna) Ashley; his sisters, Layne (Ronnie) Lusk, and Hattie (Bob) Campbell; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Charity Free Will Baptist Church, 415 Orchard Dr, Bassett, VA where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bassett.
