Dennis Lynwood Booze

Dennis Lynwood Booze, 96, of Roanoke left his earthly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 26, 2022.  He joins his beloved wife of almost 70 years, Roberta, who he has missed dearly every day since her passing in April 2021.
Dennis loved his family unconditionally and his final wish for his children was that they continue to take care of each other.  He was a dedicated member of Northview United Methodist Church.
Preceeding Dennis in death were his parents, Lawrence and Nellie Booze, three brothers and two sisters.  
He is survived by his children, Denise (Tommie) Crozier, Dennis (Susan) Booze, Robin Simmons, Karen (Steve) O'Reilly, Kathy Meador, Robert (Debbie) Booze; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.  Also surviving  is his sister, Janice (Jerry) Witherington and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the West 6th floor nursing staff at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem for their care during his final days.  The support and compassion provided to our Dad and his family was exceptional.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Northview United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Michael Moses and the Rev. Doug Sasser.  Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Friday at Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
