Everett Wayne Wilson

Everett Wayne Wilson, 74, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at his residence. He was born April 27, 1948, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Joseph Everett Wilson and Gladys Wilson Amburn. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he served in the infantry, and was an artist and draftsman in Vietnam and Cambodia 1969- 1970. He had worked for Henry County Public Schools. Everett was the owner of Wilsons Signs and enjoyed cruise ins and NASCAR racing, especially Kyle Bush.

He is survived by his wife Retha Ann Garris Wilson; son, Edward Wayne Wilson; daughter, Crystal Ann Spillman (Michael James Spillman); brother, Dennis Lee Wilson; and four grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Wilson, Makayla Dawn Wilson, Riley Ann Spillman and Jacob Lee Wilson and additional family members.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Minister Kenny McFarling officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
