Charles Edward Kenney

Charles Edward Kenney, 77, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born April 19, 1945, in Boisevain, Virginia to the late Mildred Louise Kenney. He had worked as a deputy sheriff for over 25 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Sexton.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Stone Kenney; daughters, Rebecca Kenney and Angela Kenney; grandchildren, Charlotte Kenney, Summer Deal, EveLynn Mullis, Cassandra Kenney, Ryan Kenney and Layne Kenney; and great-grandchild, Alex Colindres.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor David Towler officiating. Donations may be made in memory of Deputy Kenney to Danny Wimmer, Attention: Cops and Kids, 100 Melrose Place, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
