Andrew Lee Wimbush

Andrew Lee Wimbush, 87, of Bassett, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at his home. He was born on October 4, 1935, to the late Jimmy and Amanda W. Wimbush. In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by six sisters and one brother.

He enjoyed traveling, watching professional wrestling, fireworks, going to amusement parks, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, and spoiling their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Ann W. Wimbush; two daughters, Angela Hopkins (Wilbert) and Carol Muse (Kenneth); grandchildren, Kearriah Muse, Wilbert Hopkins, II, Cory Muse, and Jarryd Hopkins; six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Bassett Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Carver Memorial Gardens, with Reverend. Tolliver, officiating.
