Sonya Adrene Bracey-Bady

Sonya Adrene Bracey-Bady, 53, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, at her residence. She was born March 20, 1969, in New Rochelle, New York to Frances Valentine Bracey and the late Jessie Biggs. She was an office clerk for healthcare for many years and a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in New York. She enjoyed football, cooking, making people happy and especially loved seeing her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son Taheim Omari Bady; sisters, Contrina Weather (Paul), Maxine and Linda; brother, David Bracey, Jr.; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 3:30 PM at Carver Assembly Building with Rev. Paul Weathers and Rev. Leroy Valentine presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. A floating visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
