Melinda Maxwell Roberts

Melinda Maxwell Roberts, 56, of Danville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, North Carolina. She was born January 5, 1966, in Manhatten, New York to the late Nathaniel Maxwell, Jr. and Jewell Patterson Maxwell. She attended Vance Street Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia. Melinda was a hairdresser, loved shopping, reading books and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Benny E. Roberts; daughters, Marquetta Maxwell, Shatara Estes and Tenaya Garland; sons, Shannon Maxwell and Gregory Maxwell (Latoya); sisters, Natalie Trotter (Gary), Veronica Jones (Gary), Theresa Veasey and Scharles Tolliver (William); nine grandchildren and one grandchild on the way.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 12:30 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Dunn Hughes Family Cemetery, Rocky Mount, Virginia. A floating visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
