Vicki Diane Mayberry Franklin of Appomattox, Virginia
January 14, 1946 - January 9, 2024

Vicki Diane Mayberry Franklin, 77, of Woodlawn Trail, Appomattox, died Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her residence with family by her side. She was the devoted wife of Beverley Houston Franklin for 60 years and loving mother to her three children, Teresa Darlene Franklin Simmons and husband, Ricky, Beverly Michelle “Shelly” Franklin, and Kevin Houston Franklin and wife, Stacy. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Brittany F. Maynard and husband, Michael, and Kyle Franklin; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Mayberry.

Born in Appomattox County, Va., on January 14, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Edward Witt Mayberry and Nora Jean Mann Mayberry. Vicki was the financial manager and co-owner of BH Franklin Logging Inc. She was a member of Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as a former Sunday School teacher and as the church secretary and treasurer. Vicki attended Prospect Gospel Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Stephen “Stevie” Elliott, Jr.; a sister, Barbara Jean Mayberry; and two brothers, Louis Edward Mayberry and Charlie Evan Mayberry.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Gary Stoots and Dr. Danny Penny. A private family burial will be held at Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
