Beverly Adams

January 13, 1947 - February 1, 2024

Beverly Burnley Adams, 77, of Wingina, died Thursday, February 1, 2024. She was twice widowed to the late Hubbard Ray Burnley and the late Larry Randale Adams.
Born January 13, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Helen Juanita McCormick and Samuel Lynwood Gunter. Beverly was a member of Maple Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a faithful Christian and told everyone about the Lord. Beverly’s little light of the Lord shined by making a joyful noise as she worshiped in church, feeding people with her home cooking and helping those in any way she could that were in need.
She is survived by four children, Brenda Burnley Childress and Gary Albert of Gladstone, Rebecca Lee “Becky” Burnley of Wingina, Diane Burnley McCormick and husband, Richard Keith of Gladstone and Wayne Burnley of Wingina; one brother, Billy Wade Gunter and wife, Peggy of Gladstone; one sister, Debbie Ann Fielder of Monroe; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Burnley Stinson and Kirby Lewis Stinson, Jr.; son, Danny Ray Burnley; one brother, Walker Gunter; two sisters, Linda Mays and Sylvia Gunter; son-in-law, John William Childress, III.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Maple Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Harold Powers and Rev. Earl Ragland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home.
