Deloris Ferguson

On February 9, 2024, Deloris Ann Litchford Ferguson’s Heavenly Father said, “come on home, My daughter, you have fought a good battle”. She was the wife for 48 years of the late Howard Eugene, “Gene” Ferguson, Sr.
Born in Bent Creek, May 15, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Nettie Pearl Tyree and Lloyd Allen Litchford, Sr. Deloris was a member of Bible Baptist Church and had a deep devotion for her church and church family. She loved God’s creation especially the beach. Deloris adored her family, especially her grandchildren, and had great fondness of her dogs. Deloris retired from Dairy Queen after working for many years.
She is survived by her son, Howard Eugene, “Skebo” Ferguson, Jr., and Colleen of Rustburg; one sister, Eunice Josephine Staton of Lynchburg; two grandsons, Brandon Ferguson and Whitney, and Chris French; a granddaughter, Heather Renea Ferguson; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Kaylee, Abigail, Christopher, Caleb and Cayleigh; and one great-great-grandson, Ashton French.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Carolyn E. Litchford, Nannie Litchford Christian, Pansy Eisenhower and Edna Marr; and five brothers, Thomas E. Litchford, Mack Litchford, Jr., Clyde M. Litchford, C.D. Litchford and Christian Litchford.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Liberty Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Watson and Pastor Robert E. Lee officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home.
