Nancy Elder

Nancy Gayle Holt Elder, 78, of Appomattox, died Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Born in Lynchburg, March 23, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Erna Roakes Holt and Richard Elwood Holt. Nancy was a longtime Deli Manager for Kings and Harris Teeter and she served on the Appomattox County Rescue Squad for many years.
She is survived by four children, John Elder and wife, Wanda of Spokane, WA, Jeff Elder and wife, Robin of Buckingham, David Elder and wife, Chantel of Appomattox and Matthew Elder of Alexandria; one brother, Richard Holt of Brookneal; three grandchildren, Taylor Earley and husband, Justin, Zach Elder and Brianna Elder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
