Mildred Richardson

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mildred Hamlett Richardson, 80. She passed on April 25, 2024, at her Pamplin residence. She was the loving wife of Walter Norris “JR” Richardson for 57 years.
Born in Lynchburg, Va., on November 6, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Elsie Enoch Hamlett and Clarence Hamlett, Sr. Mildred was a wife, mother, sister, Granny, great-Granny-to-be, sunshine, friend, and a true treasure to all she met. Mildred was a member of Piney Ridge United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. More than that Mildred possessed a true servant’s heart, she continuously showed her love to others through the prayers she prayed and the meals she prepared and shared with others.
Mildred leaves a legacy of love, compassion, and servitude.
