Brandon Doss

November 29, 1980 - April 29, 2024

On Monday, April 29, 2024, Brandon Allen Doss, 43, passed away peacefully at Appomattox Health and Rehab.
Born on November 29, 1980, he was the son of Sue Moore Doss and the late Glenn Allen Doss. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgle Moore, Henry Doss, Margie and Ralph Reider and a cousin, Dana Beckhouse.
He is survived by his mother, Sue M. Doss; his children, Elijah and Isabella Doss; grandmother, Christine H. Moore; uncles, Dennis Doss and wife, Wanda and Timothy Doss; aunt, Teressa Davidson; cousins, Chris Beckhouse (Ava and Chase), Jessica and Rick Pack (Alex and Cody, Brock, Rachel and Jon, Jackson); Michelle and Matthew Bryant (Nicholas); and his special pet friends, Twinkie and Curry who meant so much to him.
Many thanks to his special caregivers, Kathy Meador, Kay Bondurant and Dale Wells; special friends, Jackie Mann and Allison Towler, and many others who have helped care for him. Anyone who knew Brandon knew he never met a stranger.
Brandon was a graduate of Appomattox County High School. After graduation, he attended Diesel Mechanic School at Advanced Technology Institute in Virginia Beach. He was an active volunteer for the Concord Fire Department. Brandon worked for the Appomattox Sheriff’s Department until the closing of the jail, he then transferred to Blue Ridge Regional Jail where he retired. Brandon had a love for karaoke and owned All 4 Fun Entertainment. He enjoyed going to Buggs Island with his family, riding the golf cart, and sitting at the boat ramp. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and truck rides with his kids.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Walker and Pastor Sammy Gunter officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at New Hope Baptist Church and other times at the residence of his mother.
Burial will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 9, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
