Barbara Temple

Barbara Dawn Temple, 82, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, May 16, 2024. She was the wife of the late Jesse Wayne Temple.
Born in California, August 17, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Lucy Chup Kauffman and Roy Kauffman. Barbara was an Elementary School Teacher.
She is survived by two children, Jeremy Temple and wife, Suzanne of NC, and Janelle Lewis and husband, Brad of Concord ; daughter-in-law, Beate Temple and husband, Udo Leisering of Germany; three brothers, Ronald Kauffman and wife, Betty, Dale Kauffman and wife, Dena and Richard Kauffman and wife, Fran; one sister, Carmen Shook and husband, Randy; 15 grandchildren, Marlene Temple, Samuel Temple, Annalie Temple, Simeon Temple and wife, Sarah, Alex Temple, Jacob Temple and wife, Sophia, Zachary Temple, Nicholas Temple, Micah Temple; Ethan Temple, Blaise Temple, Ayden Lewis, Abigayle Lewis, Gabriel Lewis and Everett Lewis; and two great-grandchildren, Beckett Temple and Claire Temple.
She was preceded in death by two children, Joy Temple and Jeff Temple.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home with Jim Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in New Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
