Patricia Annette "Pat" Gaines

Patricia Annette “Pat” Gaines, 78, of Appomattox, died Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, October 9, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Beulah H. Holt Gaines and William Clement Gaines, Sr. Pat was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Wayne State University in Detroit.
She is survived by one sister, Bette Kay Dixon and husband, Robert Joseph; one niece, Shelly Bagatourian and husband, Fred; two nephews, Robert Dixon, Jr. and Christopher Dixon and wife, Angie; and six great-nieces and nephews, William, Caroline, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Mia and Sam.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William Clement Gaines, Jr.; and one sister, Kate Elizabeth Gaines.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Westview Cemetery, South Main Street, Farmville, VA, with Pastor Tommy Bryant officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home.
The family was most appreciative of the care and concern shown to Pat by her caregivers, Melanie Hoback and Patricia Harding.
