Patricia Marie Schaefer

Patricia Marie Schaefer, 68, of Appomattox was called to her heavenly home Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was the wife of John Schaefer and a very kindhearted, thoughtful, and loving wife, mother, and friend that is already immensely missed. ‘Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not.’
Born in Jacksonville, FL, on February 10, 1956, she was the proud daughter of the late Merlva L. Giuliano Davis and Raymond Eugene Davis. She has always been a free spirit and fun-loving social person. Would help whenever and however she could for whoever needed it. She adored any time spent with family so much, especially her precious grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping, traveling, and eating out, although she has always had a passion for cooking, having many special memorable recipes and a wonderful personal touch in the kitchen.
In addition to her husband she is survived by five children, Jeremy Rogers and wife Rita of Greenville, NC, Melinda Coston of Virginia Beach, Rachel Molina and husband, Uli of New York City, Jonathon Schaefer of Park Forest, Il, and Ivy Kocim of Lockport, IL; 11 grandchildren, Curtis, Stephen, Isaiah, Julianna, Emory, Olivia, Amaya, Jordan, Barbara, Scarlett, and Grace; great-grandchildren, Emerson and Aria; a brother, Raymond Davis and wife, Lee; her favorite aunt, Judy and her “furbaby”, Smoocher.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna Davis.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
