Timothy John Van Nieuwenhuise

Timothy John Van Nieuwenhuise, 71, of Appomattox, VA, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the loving husband of Shellie Semanov Van Nieuwenhuise for 33 years.
The son of late LuVerne Emmett Van Nieuwenhuise and Margaret Mary Kessler Van Nieuwenhuise, Timothy was born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 27, 1954, and raised in Virginia Beach, VA.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Donald Spencer Van Nieuwenhuise (Michele) and Brett Joseph Van Nieuwenhuise; one sister-in-law, Giovanna DeCossio Van Nieuwenhuise; several nieces and nephews; loving friends, Teresa Brogden, Yvonne Franklin, Glenn and Pixie Hannon, and Susan Kennedy; and his cherished dogs, Paco and Max.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marianne Van Nieuwenhuise Christensen and two brothers, Robert Emmett Van Nieuwenhuise and Bart Stephen Van Nieuwenhuise.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home.
