Dale Carter Jones

Dale Carter Jones, 89, of Appomattox, died Wednesday, March 4, 2026. She was the wife of the late Clarence William Jones.
Born in Vera, VA, in May of 1936, she was the daughter of the late Eddie C. and Emma B. Carter. She was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church and a member of Farm Bureau Women’s Committee for years. She loved the farm and greeting visitors at the pumpkin patch each October. She loved her grandchildren and being a Nana and Mother were her greatest joys.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Jones and wife, Joanne; four grandchildren, Bruce G. Jones, II, Savannah Jones, Colton Jones, and Blake Jones; a sister, Ellen Nash; a special niece, Gale Clark; and extended family, Cheryl Mullins and Teresa Broyhill.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Wesley Carter, Mobie J. Carter, Harry D. Carter, Edwin H. Carter, and Johnny Carter and three sisters, Mary Ann McFadden, Susie D’Anna, and Ada Venezio.
A funeral service will be held 2pm, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Central Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Jeff Worley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
