Carol Ann MacDiarmid Donato

Carol Ann MacDiarmid Donato, 73, of Spout Spring passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born on February 20, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John Charles MacDiarmid and Margaret Mary Kroboth. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. She was owner/operator for 26 years at Frank’s Place. Carol loved to bake and ran her own cake decorating business.
She is survived by four siblings, Robert MacDiarmid and wife, Teresa, Susan MacDiarmid Kennedy, Laurie MacDiarmid Peters and husband, Gary, and Jeanne “Boobala” MacDiarmid Harper; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11am, Friday, May 8, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jim Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow at 1pm in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home.
