Charles R. "Charlie" Durham

Charles R. "Charlie" Durham, 91 of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was preceded by his parents, Theodore "Ted" and Mary Hubbard Durham; sisters, Nancy Darnell and Virginia Dillon; and a brother, Hugh Durham.

Mr. Durham proudly served in the U S Army during World War II. He retired after many years of service with General Electric.

Surviving are his sons, Mike (Connie) Durham, Bob (Debbie Denison) Durham; grandson, Charlie Durham; brother, Theodore R. "Ted" (Kathy) Durham, Jr.; sisters, Janie Fetter, Dorothy (Dennis) Cummings, Eunice (Tom) Kirby; and numerous nieces and nehews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Roanoke Area Ministries (RAM) 824 Campbell Avenue SW Roanoke, VA 24016.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home. www.simpsonfuneral.com
