Doris Jeanette Lott

Doris Jeanette Lott, 82, of Lynchburg, VA passed on to glory on Saturday, January 4, 2020. She was born in Binghamton, NY on September 17, 1937 the daughter of Malorie and Hazel Scism. Doris enjoyed many talents and hobbies including photography, painting, gardening, floral arranging, sewing, and craftwork. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Lott. Doris is survived by her husband Eugene Lott, Sr.; children, Eugene Lott, Jr., Joel (Steve) Lott, Laurel and husband Bill Shepherd, Colleen and husband Robert Risner, Bryan and wife Debby Lott, Darryl and wife Melissa Lott; grandchildren, Corwin, Brandon, Chris and wife Tammy, Kevin and wife Krista, Steven and wife Victoria, Matthew, Joshua, Gabby, Ellie and Nate; great grandchildren, Drake, Zoe, Zelse, Alexia, Corwin II, Korina, and Jeremy; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held in Doris’ honor at her home on Saturday, January 11, 2020. Burch-Messier Funeral Home, Bedford, 540-586-7360 is assisting the family.
