Reatha James Perdue

Reatha James Perdue, 93, of Montvale, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Reidsville, NC on September 6, 1926, a daughter of the late, James William James and Mamie Brown James. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Oscar Perdue; and her grandson, Chris Collins. She is survived by her two daughters, Jeanne Collins and her husband, Tommy of Big Island; Vickie Uzelac and husband, Mirko of Montvale; a grandson, Eric Collins; four great-grandchildren, Chelsea Collins, Dylan Collins, Maddie Collins and Kaden Collins; and a great-great granddaughter, Harper Goodwin. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday evening, January 23, 2020 at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street, Bedford, with the funeral service beginning at 7 p.m. with Rev. George Fletcher officiating. A Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2020 in the Reid Lawn Cemetery in Reidsville, NC; where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert.
