He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary J. Bryant; two precious daughters, Carolyn Roach Carter and Sandra J. Schmidt; son-in-law, Douglas Robbins; grandson, Ronald Moran; mother and father, Andrew and Bessie Bryant; 2 brothers, Tom and Jimmy; 3 sisters, Edith, Libby and Mary.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debby and William Patsel; daughter, Nancy Robbins; brother and sister-in-law, Dewey and Janie Bryan; brother, Larry Bryant; grandchildren, Shannon Smithson and husband, T.J.; Rob Roach and wife, Kelly; Glenn Roach and wife, Nikki, Kenny Roach and wife, Tammy, Pat Hogan, Billy Patsel, and Todd Robbins; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great- great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Special family and friends, Mary and Elmer Feazell, Richard and Yvonne Carr, Lois Carr, Phyllis and David Jeter.
Andy was employed by Rowe Furniture and Penske where he retired after 30 years of services.  He often reflected back on his time spent in the business telling many stories, especially about driving tractor trailers, which he loved.  After retirement he enjoyed working part-time for Bumper-to-Bumper delivering auto parts.
Andy was very fond of the outdoors.  He enjoyed his daily walks and feeding the geese.  He loved participating in the many activities, and we know that somewhere in heaven his distinct voice will be heard saying “BINGO”, which was his favorite game.  He also spent a lot of his time working puzzles and doing adult colorings that he framed and shared by many.
Andy was very well known.  He was nominated, chosen and honored receiving the prestigious award “Resident of the Year” from the Virginia Health Care Association, and was named “Mr. June” in their 2016 calendar.
Andy loved being around people and had many friends.  He was a jokester that thrived on making people laugh.  His kind words and sense of humor touched the lives of many in a very special way.
The family extends our sincerest thanks and appreciation to the staff at The Oaks and Richfield Recovery and Care Center for their kindness, support, and caregiving to Andy.  He loved you all.
Dad, Grandad, Great-Grandad and Brother, we All Love you, we will forever miss your presence, and we look forward to the day when we will see you again.  Until then we will hold onto the Precious Memories.
