Alvin Garland Jayne

Alvin G. Jayne, 82, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 26, 2019. Alvin was preceded in death by his mother Mamie Witt Jayne; brother, Emory Jayne; half-brother and sisters, Gene Jayne, Ruth Pippin, and Dorothy Lane. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Jo Ann Heck Jayne; daughters, Demetra Jayne Helbert and husband James, Regina Jayne Maness and husband Hugh; grandchildren, Jamie Helbert. Stephanie Helbert. Katherine Maness, and Elizabeth Maness; nephews, Eldon Jayne and Timmy Jayne; niece, Marlene Jayne; half-brother and sisters, Emerson Jayne, Katherine Jayne Scott, and Polly Jayne Williams; half nephews and nieces, Daryl Jayne, Rita Jayne Paige, and Dinah Jayne Lawson. Services will be held Monday, April 29, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jims Crews officiating.
