Marilyn "Meemaw" Lafferty

Marilyn (Meemaw) Lafferty, 59, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 8, 2020. She was preceded by her husband, Daryl Lafferty; a son, Christopher Lafferty; parents Elrey and Lizzie Dooley; and a brother, Michael Dooley.

Marilyn was a former employee of HCA Lewis Gale Medical Center.

Surviving are her sons, Shane (Tammie) Lafferty, Eric (April) Lafferty, Zachari Caldwell; grandchildren, Mahkayla and Shane Lafferty, Haley Cooley, Amiyah and Madison Lafferty, Damian Marchie, and Liam Lafferty; sister, Debra Dooley; devoted friend, Donnie Thorne; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Friends are encouraged to attend via live stream.
