Jean Anderson Schaefer

Jean Anderson Schaefer 96 of Roanoke formerly of the Martins Ferry, Ohio area, went to be with the Lord on Sunday May 5, 2019. Her son, Jerry Schaefer and a brother, Jack Anderson, preceded her.
 
Mrs. Schaefer retired after many years of service in the mental health field. She was a long time member of St. James Episcopal Church. A very loving and caring person, who will be dearly missed by all.
 
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Jerald “Jerry” Schaefer; her son, Mark Schaefer, and granddaughters, Kerry and Megan.
 
Family would like to thank her many friends, her church family, and her medical care staff who helped with Mom in her time of need.
 
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Thursday May 9, 2019 at St. James Episcopal Church with Rev. Susan Bentley officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.  Family will receive friends Wednesday May 8, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home.
