Francis "Frankie" Pannell Roop

Frances “Frankie” Pannell Roop, 88, passed away at her home in Radford on Sunday, May 12, 2019 with her family by her side. She was a member of the Radford Worship Center and retired as a beautician at the age of 80. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Pearl Pannell; husband of 67 years, Donald W. Roop; sisters, Irene Richards, Earnestine Harris and Evelyn Richards; brother, Lacy Pannell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Elaine Roop of Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Tony Viars of Radford, and Karen and Steve Bernier of Farmville; 7 grandsons; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. with Dr. Hal Adams officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Radford Worship Center, 1820 Second St., Radford, VA 24141.
