Cloyd Percy King

Cloyd Percy King, 81, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at his home. He was born February 6, 1939 in Ararat, Virginia to the late Samuel and Hester Mankins King. He retired from Dupont with 30 years service, and had worked for the Henry County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed golf, fishing, camping, hunting, playing the guitar, and socializing with friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Buford King and Frank King.

Mr. King is survived by his wife, Teresa Helms King; daughters, Sandy Burnette (Barry), Kristie Rogers (Timothy); son, Kenny King (Susan); sisters, Estelle Terry (Anthony), Pansy Floyd (Don), and Mozelle Mangus; and ten grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 5:00 P. M., at Wright Funeral Service with Bob Wilson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
