Donald Alfred Quill
Donald Alfred Quill, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20th, 2020 in Pulaski, Virginia. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Don is survived by his partner of 36 years, Michael Green and his former wife, Barbara Quill, and their children, Dwayne Quill (Ung Choi), Karen Quill (Fernando Medina), Lynda Brewer (Tom), Donald Quill II (Wanda), Christine Wright (Brian), and his 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Quill, his grandson, Justin Vinas, and his sisters Barbara Mucci and Lorraine Rastellini.
Donald’s personality was big and bold. Believing in himself early in his career, he held multiple jobs working as a butcher, caterer, and entrepreneur. Never one to shy away from hard work, he did whatever was necessary to take care of and provide for his family. He put that persona to work throughout his life, reaching the highest executive level of Tupperware, where he was responsible for leading sales in South America, as Tupperware became a global brand. His work with Tupperware was part of his heart. He loved the people he worked with and the ability to help them see and achieve their potential, one of his true gifts! There wasn’t a room he entered where his big smile and infectious laugh were not noticed!
Throughout his life he enjoyed traveling, particularly in his later years when he enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, Europe, and other places throughout the world. He loved being at his home, watching the Patriots win the Superbowl and taking care of his many plants. He enjoyed visiting restaurants with family and friends and shared a special friendship with Michael Green’s mother in Virginia, Augustine. Most of all, Donald adored his family, children, and grandchildren. He will be dearly
missed.
He will be laid to rest with his beloved mother, Sadie Grace Schofield and stepfather, Noel Schofield at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. The memorial service will be held on Monday, October 19th at 11am at Dee Funeral Home in Concord, MA, with burial to follow.
