Wilma Rudy Odham Price

December 14, 1944 - May 16, 2019

Wilma Ruby Odham Price, 74, of Radford, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Wilma was born in Tom’s Creek to Joe and Mary Lexie Odham on December 14, 1944.  She went to school in Blacksburg. She loved crocheting and spending time with family and friends; especially her dog Jo-Jo. Wilma also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mom’s greatest love was singing and songwriting; she performed locally at many major events and was a regular at “The Barn” and performed at the Coal Miner’s Day. Wilma also accomplished her lifelong dream of recording her songs; a CD of which she was very proud. The CD contained songs written and performed by her.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Joseph Odham and Mary Lexie Woolwine Odham. Siblings: William Howard Odham, Marion Edward Odham, Mary Roberta Odham Hamlin, and Fern Lucille Odham Linkous, Granddaughter Lexie Elizabeth Stump. Wilma loved and missed her family that went to heaven before her. It was a glorious and well-deserved reunion. Heaven’s angels sound more beautiful with her in their choir, singing the endless praises of her Lord.
Wilma is survived by her childhood love Earl Mason Price; children: Earl Larry Price of Christiansburg, Lori Christine Price and Brian Wayne Barrett of Floyd;  siblings: Joyce Audrey Odham Sheets Van Benschoten of Durham, North Carolina, Annalee Anita Odham Cherry of North Carolina and Carl Joseph and Betty Odham of Asheboro, North Carolina; grandchildren, James Mason Stump and Charles Edmunds, and Dejah Renae Moser. Wilma is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family of Wilma wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Radford Health and Rehabilitation nurses and staff who loved mom like she was their own mother.  Carilion Hospice, Nicole, Robyn, Dixie, Rebekah and T, without the love and support of these angels, I don’t know how we would have ever gotten through this. A very special thanks to Becky Morris, niece, who stayed by Mom’s side not only in death, but in life. Rocks and water!
Memorial services will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Merrimac Holiness Church in Blacksburg with Richard Hall and Jimmie Lee Price officiating.
The Price  family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford. www.mullinsfuneralhome.com
