Bobby Owen Markham

Bobby Owen Markham, 79 of Goode, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Monday, October 6, 1941 in Bedford County, a son of the late Roy W. Markham and Eula Bryant Markham. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald Markham and Donald Markham.

He was retired from the Rubatex Corporation, was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Bobby was a devoted and loving husband, father and Papa. He enjoyed being outdoors planting flowers, cutting wood or enjoying his grandsons and his dog, Pete. He will be missed but his family rests in knowing they will see him again in God's glorious kingdom.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Heck Markham; his daughter, Alisa M. Bryant & husband, Tim; his brothers, Mackie Markham and Jackie Markham as well as his grandsons, Jacob D. Bryant and Joseph R. Bryant.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Timber Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Phillip Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
