Robert Maximillian Whalen

Robert Maximillian Whalen, 86 of Goode passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 in the Bedford County Nursing Home. He was born July 30, 1934 in Irondequoit, NY a son of the late James Earl Whalen and Edna Kastner Whalen. He was preceded in death by his wives, C. Yvonne Gendron Whalen, Anna Witt Whalen, his son, Timothy Whalen and his brothers, Earl Whalen and Cliff Whalen.

He was retired from Coleman Adams Construction Company.

He is survived by his son, Gregory Whalen & wife, Joyce, Ernest Whalen & wife, Carolyn, Theodore Whalen & wife, Sarah; his daughters, Shona Witt & husband, Dennis, Yvette Seamster & partner, Allen Weese, Peter Whalen & wife, Irene, Jason Whalen; his daughter-in-law, Kim Whalen, thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Courtyard staff at Bedford County Nursing Home for their care and concern of our father while he was a resident. They also request that anyone wishing to make memorials consider the Bedford County Nursing Home, 1229 County Farm Road, Bedford, VA 24523.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor John Boyles officiating. There is no visitation.
