Gail Prudence "Gayla" Miller Claus-Velfling

November 27, 1949 - January 10, 2021

Gail Prudence “Gayla” Miller Claus-Velfling age 71 of Fincastle passed away Sunday January 10, 2020 at her home following a long illness.

She was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Barbara H. Miller. Gayla was born on November 27, 1949 in Greenfield, Massachusetts – where she lived during her childhood until she moved to Clarksville, Tennessee where she had an art gallery called Artistic Impressions; in which she taught oil painting. She eventually moved from Tennessee to Botetourt, Virginia; where she has lived for the past 28 years. Gayla enjoyed traveling, oil painting, teaching others, and she was devoted to teaching the bible and was responsible for the conversion of many to the Jehovah’s Witness faith in Tennessee. Gayla was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Troutville.

In addition to her parents Gail was preceded in death by one brother; Paul Daniel Miller.
She is survived by her daughter: Cassie Lee Claus-Velfling of Bangor, PA; son: Rodney Jason Clause of Roanoke; brother: Mark Wayne Miller of Fincastle; sister and brother-in-law: Rebecca (Robert) Hoffman of MI; and many loving friends.

A memorial of Gayla’s life may be held at a later date.
