Elbert Richardson Powell, 84 of Bedford passed away, Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his residence. He was the son of the late Gilbert R. Powell and Golide Karnes Powell, he was also preceded in death by a brother, John R. Powell. He was retired from Rubatex Corporation of Bedford where he worked in the shipping department.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Laughon Powell; sisters Nancy Witt and Patsy P. Keller.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bryan Sheehan officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Bedford.
