Renee Conway Upchurch

Renee Conway Upchurch, 64, of Bassett, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021, at her home. She was born September 21, 1956 in Martinsville, to the late Sanford Biggs Conway and Irene Martin Reeves.

She was of the Christian faith, and was last employed at Stanley Furniture Company. She loved gardening and frogs, and spending time with her dogs, Daisy, Zenny, and Roc. She enjoyed reading Stephen King novels in her free time and could often be found taking care of the many stray cats and dogs around her home.

Ms. Upchurch is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Craig and Savannah Upchurch; sons, Austin “Tyler” Ferguson and Jonathan (Christi) Clark; sisters, Kelly Reeves and Deborah Galvan; brothers, Frankie Grover, Mike Reeves, and Donnie Reeves; grandchildren, Dustin Craig, Shawn Cooley and Gracie Cooley; her significant other, Richard Stegall; his son, Benny (Kim) Brown; and his grandson, Benson Brown.

Services will be at a later date.
