Mildred Stone Rodgers

Mildred Stone Rodgers, 89, of Fieldale, died Friday, January 22, 2021 at The Landmark Center. She was born in Henry County on August 29, 1931 to the late Dewey Stone and the late Myrtle Joyce Stone. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Ray Rodgers; son, Michael “Mike” Rodgers; daughter, Carolyn Adams and brothers, Marvin Stone, Wayne Stone, Randolph Stone and infant brother, Troy Stone.

She was a member of the Fort Trial Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Nelson (Leon); grandchildren, James Robert Adams, John Michael Rodgers (Tasha), Kerri Beth Ludeman (Joe), Brittany Flanagan (Travis), Joshua Rodgers, Katie Poole (Matt), Justin Nelson, Adam Nelson; nine great grandchildren; nieces, Karen Liebermann, Connie Andrews (John) and Kathy Price; nephew, Tommy Jones; son -in-law, Sam Adams; brothers, Lonnie Stone (Nancy), Larry Stone, David Stone (Deborah); sisters, Jean Maxey (J.E.), Myra Barbour (Butch); numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may stop by the funeral home Thursday, January 28th from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM to view and sign the register book without the family present. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Due to Covid-19 circumstances, the family requests no visitors at their home and a face covering is required and social distancing is to be observed at the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery fund or the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.
