James Michael Dye

James Michael Dye 68, of Spencer, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021, at his home. He was born July 14, 1952, in Richlands, Virginia to the late Robert and Nancy Buskill Dye.

Mr. Dye was a retired coal miner with over thirty years of service at Island Creek Coal Company VP#3. He liked RC Nitro cars, his gator, his computer and attended Mayo Christian Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert C. Dye, Sr., and Thomas David Dye.

Mr. Dye is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Patrick Dye; daughter, Heather Lynn Dye; son, James Michael Dye, Jr.; sister, Betty Jean Ward; and grandchildren, Taylor Ann Dye, Brittney Nichole Dye, and Samara Arms.
