Anna Hope Myers
Anna Hope Myers, 13, of Lynchburg, Va., died on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Born on May 15, 2006, in Bulgaria, Anna was a daughter of Dan Myers and Jean Hawkins Myers and a sister of Mary Grace, Luke, Matthew, Joy, and Isaiah.
Anna was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Sue Myers and her maternal grandfather, John Hawkins.
In addition to her parents and siblings, Anna is survived by her paternal grandfather, Stan Myers; maternal grandmother, Jean Hawkins, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Anna loved being with her family and watching her brothers and sisters play. She also liked aquariums, listening to stories and music, and spending time outdoors. We were always amazed at her patience and her sweet spirit even in the midst of pain and hardship. Despite her challenges, she found ways to express her affection, and every now and then, we got a glimpse of her sense of humor. Through Anna’s life, we were given a beautiful picture of how precious each person is to God as we saw His tender care for her.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. A celebration of Anna’s life will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in the chapel at Heritage Baptist Church, 219 Breezewood Drive.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Cure International or Show Hope.
