John Thomas Wills

John Thomas Wills, 83 of Rich Creek, VA. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his home.  John was born on March 28, 1937 in Rich Creek and was a son of the late Otis Carr Wills and Elsie Mae Chambers.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings. John was a graduate of Peterstown High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  He was an operator of heavy equipment in construction helping to build interstate highways and roads in Virginia and West Virginia.  John loved farming and raising cattle on his Powell Mtn farm.  He loved his family, grandchildren and friends.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon White Wills of Rich Creek, one daughter, Tammy W. Stafford (Gary) of Rich Creek, two grandchildren, Nathanael Stafford and Cora Stafford both of Rich Creek, one sister, Vernetta Tritt of Peterstown, WV, one brother, Darryl Wills of Peterstown, WV many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 26, 2021 at 12pm at Mountain View Ministries (COGOP) in Narrows with Pastor Jim Hagy officiating with burial following in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.   We will be observing COVID-19 precautions, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
