Fred Lee Wood, 84, of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Fred was a loving father and grandfather, a true patriarch of the family. He served proudly in the United States Air Force for 26 years. Fred was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 63 years, Mary Lou Wood.
He is survived by his sons, Joel Wood and Tracy Wood; grandchildren, Vanessa (Jeff) Edwards, Jedediah Wood, and Hannah Wood(engaged to Kurtis).
The family will be holding a private Graveside Service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.
