Sandra L. Prillaman

Sandra L. Prillaman 66, of Martinsville passed away on April 10, 2021 at VCU Health in Richmond.  She was born on August 9, 1954 the daughter of the late Lewhy Matherly and the late V. Frances Wolfe.   Sandra was also preceded in death by a son; Billy Alley, Jr., sisters; Brenda Jewell, Susan Nightengale, brother; Tommy Matherly. 
 
She retired from Tultex after 24 years. Sandra worked in various departments, culminating her career as a quality control inspector.  She also served as an elected union official for her department and on the executive committee.
Surviving is  her husband, Danny L. Prillaman, son and daughter – in – law; James H. Mabe and wife Hydi, grandchildren; Alan J. Polk, Brayden J. Mabe, sisters; Ginger Matherly Smart, Kathy Martinez, Shelia Weatherman, brother; Jeffery Matherly.
Visitation will be Saturday April 17 from 2 – 3 p.m. in the chapel of Bassett Funeral Service with services to follow at 3:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Due to the governor’s requirements for Covid-19, a face covering is required and social distancing is to be observed when visiting at the church.
