John Nolan Garrity

John Nolan Garrity, 73, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Friday, April 30, 2021, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born December 27, 1947 in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania to the late John Regis Garrity and Wanda Boger Garrity. He was a Telecommunication Engineer with The Hartford for fourteen years. He proudly served his county in the United States Navy. He was 1st Vice Commander for AMVETS.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Galen Garrity.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Mantia Garrity; son, Keith Anthony Garrity; sister, Darla Garrity (Roby Dixon); and brother, Nathan Garrity (Marcy).

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Norbert Folwaczny officiating. Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
