Herldon Vinson "HV" Snowden, Jr.

Herldon Vinson “HV” Snowden, Jr., 67, of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2021
A native of Tennessee he was the husband of 44 years to Kathleen “Kathy” Snowden and the son of Herldon Vinson Snowden, Sr. and Hannah Elizabeth Sorrell Snowden, both deceased. HV was a veteran of the United States Navy. He faithfully served the Lord in ministry for 39 years and most recently served as Associate Pastor for Jordantown Church of God. HV enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and singing.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Dawn Rene Snowden Cooper and husband Dawson Joshua; his son, Shane Vinson Snowden and wife Frances Ellen; four grandchildren, Riley Preston, Madison Haley, Alizee Elizabeth, and Alexander Sean; and three sisters, Merlyn Ruth Werle and husband Lonnie, Deborah Louise Werle and husband Michael, and Aneta Michelle Tuck and husband Derrell.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at Jordantown Church of God, 5663 Jordantown Rd, Vinton, on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 4:00 pm. In honor of HV the family asks those attending the service to wear yellow.
