Robert Burns Davis

Robert Burns Davis, 81, of Roanoke, Va., made his journey home with family by his side on Monday, March 4, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with diabetes and kidney failure.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bolus and Mary Davis; his wife, Mary Lou Davis; and brother, Edgar Davis.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Robin Turman; his namesake grandson, Robert Russell and his wife, Kim; granddaughter, Karson McKee, brother, Dennis Davis and his wife, Wanda; sister, Judy Muse and her husband, Ronnie; many nieces, nephews, and his beloved down home Lebanon, Virginia family; special friend and companion, Doris White. Robin wishes to thank from the bottom of her heart Robert’s uncle, Sherman Breeding, for the countless trips to the Dr’s office and for always being there for him.
Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home. Funeral services honoring Robert’s life will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, Virginia.
